Q: I heard there was a change in ownership, is that true?
A: Yes! The Tackett Family purchased Mrs. Goodman’s in March of 2018. While you may have noticed a new look when you step inside the bakery, rest assured the recipes remain unchanged!
Q: How far in advance do I need to place my order?
A1: Standard Cakes- Because our cakes are made to order, we ask for a minimum of 7 days’ notice.
A2: Custom Designs- We recommend placing your custom cake order at least two weeks prior to your pick-up date (this is important in peak seasons!). While we do our best to accommodate all orders, if we feel that taking on additional orders on certain days will jeopardize the quality of our existing orders we will refrain from taking on more than we can handle.
Q: Do you REALLY need 7 days’ notice on cake orders?
A: Maybe, maybe not. It depends on how many orders we have to fill in a given time frame which is why we recommend the advance lead time. We will always accommodate orders if we have the ability to fulfill them!
Q: What if I need a last-minute cake?
A: We do our very best to keep our case stocked with beautiful and delicious cakes for walk in customers. These are available on a first come, first served basis. You can also call ahead to reserve (with pre-payment) a case cake for you to come in and pick up at your convenience.
Or, just give us a call! Again, we will always accommodate orders if we have the ability to fulfill them!
Q: My celebration is not until Sunday (or Monday) but your bakery is closed on these days. If I pick up my order on Saturday will my cake (or cookies or pies) stay fresh?
A: Yes! Many of our customers pick up on Friday/Saturday for future celebrations. When refrigerated our cakes stay fresh for up to 7 days.
Q: How much do cakes cost?
A: Each custom cake is unique so it’s hard to say! Pricing depends on the size, flavor(s), fillings, and degree of customization on the design.

Q: Do you offer delivery?
A: No, unfortunately our small (but mighty!) team cannot accommodate deliveries.
Q: Where are you located?
A: We are located at 901 High Street in Worthington, just a few blocks north of 161 (south of I270). Need a landmark? We’re across the street from the Dairy Queen!
Q: Do you ship your desserts?
A: At this time, we are not able to ship our products. We are working on this option so follow us on social media for updates!
Q: What is your payment and refund policy?
A: We ask for payment at the time your order is placed. Changes to your order cannot be guaranteed within the week of your pickup date. Refunds will not be provided if a change cannot be accommodated within the week. Refunds will not be provided if you do not pick up your order.
Q: What is your food allergen warning?
A: Even though some of our desserts may not contain soy, wheat, peanuts, tree nuts, seeds, or any other allergy/health-related food items, many of the above are used throughout our kitchen. While we careful not to cross-contaminate, those with severe nut, soy, dairy, gluten, or any other food allergies should exercise extreme caution and use your own discretion.
